Pens can also be used from both sides for different stroke effects.
✔️ Compatible Inks
Recommended:
-
Water-based inks
-
Thin / diluted inks with fluid consistency
Not recommended:
-
Thick acrylic paints (may clog channels unless thoroughly cleaned)
⚠️ Troubleshooting
If the pen isn't writing:

Ensure both metal plates meet evenly
-
Adjust the lower plate gently if one sits ahead
If the nib scratches the paper:
-
Write 4–5 strokes on 1000–2000 grit sandpaper
-
Repeat until smooth
If ink lines merge:
-
Remove excess ink from the nib channels before writing
🧼 Cleaning Instructions

Clean inside and outside of the nib with water and a soft toothbrush after each use
-
Dry with a cloth or paper towel
-
Regular cleaning prevents clogging and extends pen life
